NEW ORLEANS (press release) – International megastar EDM DJs Tiesto and Diesel will fire fans up in the midst of Mardi Gras season at this year’s Zoolu 26. DJ Diesel (aka Shaquille O’Neal) opens the weekend’s festival at The Metropolitan with his set on Saturday, Feb. 22. Tiesto will close the three-day festival out on Lundi Gras night before attendees keep their party going until Fat Tuesday.
Saturday’s opening night show features former LSU basketball player and Lakers star Shaquille O’Neal as Diesel. Diesel is Shaq’s DJ persona known for playing special sets at international events. Opening Saturday’s show are Riot Ten and ARMNHMR.
Monday’s show features international sensation and Grammy-winner Tiesto. A native of the Netherlands, Tiesto is best known for his hits “Adagio for Strings,” “Feel it in My Bones,” and “Lethal Industry.” Tiesto has also remixed many of today’s modern pop and R&B hits, including the Grammy-winning remix of John Legend’s “All of Me.”
