NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Loyola University New Orleans will host free Coronavirus testing for the community on our campus next week. This testing for COVID-19 is sponsored by the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana and will be available to the campus community and residents of the greater New Orleans area.
Free community testing will be offered from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, Aug. 24- 29, at Loyola University New Orleans, 6363 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, 70118.
Drive-thru and walkup testing will be provided at the Calhoun Street (Northeast) entrance to campus. The Loyola community is asked to use walk-up testing, to minimize congestion.
Testing will be provided for 1,000 community members per day, with test results expected within three days, if not sooner.
Members of the Louisiana National Guard will conduct the tests and results will be analyzed by clinicians and clinical providers through the Louisiana Department of Health.
