With over 35 years of experience in the gaming industry, LuAnn Pappas is one of only two female casino Chief Executive Officers on the thriving Mississippi Gulf Coast. As CEO of Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort, Pappas oversees a prized vacation and gaming destination with 300 hotel rooms, miniature golf course, event center, luxurious pool, multiple restaurants, and 1,000+ slot machines, 33 table games, and DraftKings at Scarlet Pearl Sportsbook.
Pappas attributes much of her success as a leader to the influence and advice of her father, who emphasized fairness, firmness, discipline, and a never-quit attitude.
Pappas has been distinguished with awards and designations from the Mississippi Business Journal, Global Gaming Women, New Orleans Magazine, the American Red Cross, Gulf Coast Woman and Global Gaming Business. She supports an array of non-gaming organizations including the Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity in addition to drug and alcohol prevention and mental health programs.
