NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Chef Jeremy Fogg’s King Cake Monkey Bread is available now for pre-order! Pre-orders can be placed on the Mae’s Bakeshop website.
Mae’s will fulfill orders every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during Carnival season starting Jan. 6. Orders can be picked up at Mae’s Bakeshop – 3917 Barrone St. from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on those days. More availability will be offered when the bakery officially opens later in January. I’ll be in touch soon with more details on the Grand Opening.
The signature pull-apart style king cake is great for sharing this Mardi Gras season. Since monkey bread is best eaten warm, Mae’s sells their king cake as a kit for you to warm and decorate at home. Each kit includes a 10″ Monkey Bread, piping bag of icing, edible Mardi Gras beads and 4 oz of Bananas Foster Dipping Sauce.
