Making The Most of Local Rain Gear

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I like rain. I like it in little flecks and drops, and I like it in paint-bucket sized downpours. My fondness for rain serves me well in the Crescent City. Other than food, there is virtually nothing that ties us together as a city quite like the rain. But, funny enough, I know very few people with a robust umbrella game or rainy-day wardrobe. It seems that we are more consumed with drying off than preventing the rain from infiltrating our lives. It’s acceptance, not complacency. It’s like we’ve come to enjoy the fact that rain slows us down and puts things into perspective. That important meetingWell, it’s going to have to wait. Who knows if the streets will flood or traffic will allow for such trivial things. When it comes to southern storms, you’ve got to expect the unexpected and never take anything too seriously. What could be more New Orleans than that?
