MANDEVILLE, La (press release) – Festival of the Lake organizers have announced that some of Louisiana’s most popular musical acts will highlight the 40th annual fest at Our Lady of the Lake Church and School at 312 Lafitte St. in Mandeville on Veterans Day Weekend from Friday, Nov. 10, through Sunday, Nov. 12. The iconic Northshore family event is free and open to the public.
Bag of Donuts, Christian Serpas & Ghost Town and Adam Pearce are among the many live musical acts scheduled for the Festival of the Lake, which has been known for its live music, Southern delicacies, fun and games for residents of Southeast Louisiana for the past four decades.
With Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11, festival organizers announced a special for all military veterans who will be treated to 50 free tickets to be used for food and games the entire weekend with proper ID.
Dozens of scrumptious dishes will be served over the weekend for the thousands of expected festivalgoers, including among many other offerings BBQ pulled pork, brisket, fried chicken on a stick, Crawfish Julie pasta and jambalaya.
Benefitting Our Lady of the Lake Church, Festival of the Lake is held on the school and church grounds and has been part of Mandeville’s history and tradition for over 40 years with the festival known best for its free top-of-the-line live entertainment, various food booths and family fun and games.
