With Mardi Gras drawing near, Errol Laborde, editor of New Orleans Magazine, presents a series of videos dealing with the history of Carnival, its significance today and, of course, what to do and what to look for this year.
His latest video can be seen here and features an official from Muses, the popular all-female krewe. Errol is our resident Mardi Gras expert, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a more informed source on the city’s favorite holiday. So grab your go-cup and get ready for a great Carnival!
Check out New Orleans Magazine‘s February issue for our Carnival content, including a list of parades, Errol’s list of what is "Quintessential Mardi Gras," historical Carnival photographs and a look at Mardi Gras marching bands.
