Mary Williams is an established New Orleans dress designer well-known for her quality designs. Williams got started at the Louisiana State Museum where she learned about period clothing designs and construction methods of clothing from years past. According to Williams, "Materials have been mostly the same throughout the years." As she discusses fashion, Williams observes that women's fashions always boil down to what men like. Williams also comments on the dresses from the recent Oscars and shares her thoughts about these red carpet creations. She offers her opinions about current men's fashions, from baggy pants to shirts outside of the pants. Listen to the podcast here.
