Save Our Cemeteries, which has helped preserve New Orleans’ iconic cemeteries for more than 35 years, held its All Saints Soirée on Saturday, October 23. The event was called “A Masked Gala,” and patrons donning masks were admitted one hour early for champagne, food from ETC! Catering and Byblos Restaurant and carriage rides through the garden district.

The main event kicked off at 8:30 p.m. at the Garden District home of Matt and Suzanne Wisdom and featured culinary delights from Michael’s Catering as well as music from Johnny J. and the Hitmen. Janet Nagelin and Bobbie Whiddon designed elegant white rose arrangements with flowers donated by Rutledge & Company Landscape Architects.

The soirée also featured a silent auction, a highlight of which was a series of masks designed by local artists Dr. Bob, India Stewart, Steve Martin, Blake Boyd, Amanda Talley and more. Other auction items included custom art pieces, jewelry, weekend getaways and many coveted prizes.
