Dr. Heath, a native of New Orleans, trained in California, the mecca of plastic surgery, before returning home for private practice. In those years of residency and serving patients, while also providing care during the COVID-19 pandemic as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at UC-Davis, Dr. Heath trained and operated alongside the finest plastic surgeons in the country, developing groundbreaking techniques he would later bring home to New Orleans. Recognized by the public as the Best Plastic Surgeon in the Greater New Orleans area in 2024 and honored by peers as being among the top 7% of plastic surgeons in 2024 and 2025 by Castle Connolly, Dr. Heath found wide notoriety with his research in fat grafting, specifically its application in the presence of breast cancer, and was awarded by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons for his efforts.
