As Partner at The Women’s Medical Center, the Westbank’s oldest and largest OB/GYN specialty group, Dr. Mark Allen and his team provide a variety of women’s health services with an emphasis on discretion, personal care, and well-being. Beyond its traditional obstetric and gynecological services, the practice offers in-house imaging and labs, ultrasound technology, bone densitometry, 3D mammography, and minimally invasive procedures using the daVinci Robotic Surgery system. Via his work at both The Women’s Medical Center and West Jefferson Medical Center, Dr. Allen is proud to bring advanced robotic gynecology capabilities to the community.
Dr. Allen attended Loyola University New Orleans for undergraduate studies before graduating from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Ochsner Clinic Foundation and pursued specialty training in advanced robotic gynecology and bariatric robotic gynecology. With 25 years of military service, Dr. Allen is a member of the 159th Fighter Wing.
