Dr. Sunil Purohit, at Louisiana Healthcare – Associates Urology Division, brings together more than two decades of experience and advanced technology to offer exceptional urological care to patients in the Northshore region. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Dr. Purohit pursued his medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans before completing his urological training at Tulane School of Medicine. Dr. Purohit is a board certified urologist and fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
As a board-certified urologist, Dr. Purohit specializes in diagnosing and treating various urologic conditions, such as genitourinary malignancies, urologic stone disease, male and female urinary incontinence, and enlarged prostate. He has a particular interest in Da Vinci robotic surgery, a minimally invasive, precise technique that promotes improved outcomes in procedures related to bladder cancer, kidney cancer, prostate cancer, and female prolapse.
