NEW ORLEANS (press release) – There will be only “wooing” and “mooing” from the corner of Magazine and Joseph Streets, right down the street from where the ‘upper’ uptown parades roll, because the owners of Medium Rare have cut the fat from the prices to celebrate their first Carnival season. So, take a stroll, two blocks up from Jefferson Avenue, and snag a seat at the bar or grab-n-geaux during the Moo D’ Hour – 4-7 p.m. – a sipping extravaganza of four of the most popular cocktails, each for $8 Buckaroos! Enjoy the specialty pours in custom cups – Hibiscus Margarita, Pineapple Mule, Lavender 75, and Berry Sangria.
No one can miss out on the fun at the Moo D’ Gras corner, during the happiest of hours and also after those hours with the outside Moo D’ Bar set up during parades uptown and especially on Sunday, February 11 for the Krewe of Thoth. Order for only $8 Dollars a Blood Orange Screwdriver, Loaded Bloody Mary, or Berry Sangria. To not leave you hungry, there’s more- $5 cup of Hand-cut Fries and $10 – Steak Fry + Secret Sauce Sandwich. These specials are a worthy catch- so snag ‘em while you can!
Medium Rare is known for its gigantic slices of cake, but the crown jewel this time of year is the mile high, KING CAKE Sundae. Medium Rare has tapped the best ice-cream spot in town, Creole Creamery, for its creamy smooth King Cake Ice-cream and loaded it with a mountain of Whipped Cream, Endless Sprinkles, and King Cake Baby on top!
