NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The beloved holiday tradition is back, with a fresh new format for this year! The Preservation Resource Center’s 46th annual Holiday Home Tour, presented by McEnery Residential will be Dec. 11-12 as a video series and art and garden tour.
VIDEO TOURS
Join PRC Executive Director Danielle Del Sol as she steps inside FOUR exquisite houses around New Orleans. Her interviews with the homeowners will explore the gorgeous art collections, historic architectural details and masterful interior design of these private homes in the French Quarter, Uptown and Faubourg St. John. This video series showcases the incredible diversity of New Orleans’ historic neighborhoods, with fascinating details about the history of each house and the community around it.
ART & GARDEN TOUR
A creative new format for our beloved Holiday Home Tour!
Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic and the destruction brought by Hurricane Ida, the PRC is moving its annual holiday celebration outdoors, transforming private yards and secret gardens into winter wonderlands! Working with some of the city’s most talented landscape architects and artists, these lush Garden District landscapes will be stunning holiday showcases filled with custom-designed, larger-than-life art installations. The décor and the gardens will delight visitors young and old.
What’s on tour?
5 private landscapes filled with one-of-a-kind art installations produced by local artists.
2 private gardens showcasing incredible landscape design and winter botanicals.
Note: To keep all homeowners, tour-goers, staff and volunteers safe, the interior of the homes will NOT be open to the public this year.

Making Spirits Bright — PRC Holiday Happy Hour
Come see the amazing art installations all aglow during this festive Holiday Happy Hour. Join the PRC, as we sip holiday-inspired drinks and take in all of the Holiday Home Tour art installations during a festive nighttime viewing party.
This new slate of events will offer a safe, fun-filled holiday celebration for everyone to enjoy!

The Holiday Home Tour is a crucial fundraiser for the nonprofit Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans. Money raised through these events will help the PRC provide free hurricane repairs to low-income homeowners and continue its work protecting New Orleans’ historic architecture, neighborhoods and cultural identity through its home-repair programs, advocacy efforts and educational classes.
