METAIRIE, La (press release) – The 5th Annual Pink Friday event is set to take place on Nov. 22, bringing together 15 local businesses along Metairie Road to celebrate and support small businesses as the holiday shopping season kicks off. The event is part of a growing movement to encourage shoppers to support local retailers first, all while enjoying special promotions, discounts and a chance to win prizes.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the 5th annual Pink Friday and continue our mission of supporting local small businesses on Metairie Road,” said Lindsey Benoit, owner of About Face of New Orleans, in a release about the event. “This event provides an incredible opportunity for shoppers to enjoy the holiday spirit, discover great deals, and support the businesses that make our community so special.”
Pink Friday is a one-day event designed to create an exciting shopping experience while giving back to the community. Participating businesses will offer special sales and discounts throughout the day, and customers can collect Pink Bucks as a reward for their shopping. Here’s how it works:
- Shop & Save: Spend $100 at any of the participating stores and receive $20 in Pink Bucks. These can be redeemed in December for additional savings at any participating store.
- Grand Prize Drawing: Shoppers who visit at least four participating stores, make a purchase at each, and receive a stamp or validation at each stop will be eligible for a $1000 cash prize. The more stores you visit, the greater your chances to win!
- Special Deals & Promotions: Each participating store will feature its own unique sales and specials to make your shopping experience even more exciting. Look for the pink balloons marking the participating businesses along Metairie Road.
