NEW YORK (press release) – Holiday themed cocktail pop-up bars Miracle and Sippin’ Santa announce their spirited return for the 2022 season, featuring long time and award-winning partners, new locations from around the world and whimsical new drinks to ring in the Christmas season. Kicking off their ninth year, the Miracle and Sippin’ Santa teams are overjoyed to welcome back fans, friends, and family alike to partake in the hope and wonder that is only found during the holidays and exclusively at their cocktail pop-up concepts.
Listing almost 200 participating locations for the 2022 season, Miracle and Sippin’ Santa are proud to have so many returning and new partner locations open their doors once more as Christmas pop-up destinations. From award-winning partner bars such as North America’s 50 Best Bar winners Civil Liberties (Toronto, Canada), Bitter & Twisted (Phoenix, AZ) and Mace, the original Miracle pop-up location in New York City. This year’s roster also includes bars listed in the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards top ten nominations: Navy Strength’s Chris Elford for U.S. Bartender of the Year (Seattle, WA), Kona’s Street Market’s Kevin Diedrich for Best U.S. Bar Mentor and Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar (San Francisco, CA); in addition, Sippin’ Santa’s very own Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29 (New Orleans, LA) was included in the top ten nominees for Best U.S Cocktail Bar as well as Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour (Phoenix, AZ), Pearl Diver (Nashville, TN), with The Roosevelt Room (Austin, TX) making the final four. Award-winning partner locations aside, the Miracle and Sippin’ location roster is full of amazing venues, in all sorts of styles and in all sorts of markets across the globe. The Miracle concept began in 2014 when Greg Boehm transformed his bar Mace into a winter wonderland during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Guided by the advice of his mother, Miracle on Ninth Street was born, and its fervent reception soon led industry friends from other cities around the globe reaching out to recreate the Miracle holiday magic in their own bars. Since then, and led by Boehm and General Manager Joann Spiegel, the concept continues to spread far and wide.
The mastermind behind recipe creation for Miracle, Joann Spiegel, has added an array of cheery and delicious holiday cocktails to the Miracle menu this year alongside some returning fan favorites. Each Miracle cocktail boasts cheerful holiday flavors while presented in unique mugs and signature glassware. Not to be outdone, Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, described by Imbibe Magazine as one of the “25 Most Influential Cocktail Personalities of the Past Century,” has created the tropical holiday-themed cocktails that will be center stage at all Sippin’ Santa locations. Both Miracle and Sippin Santa’s 2022 full cocktail menus are shared below.
As in previous years, the bespoke Miracle and Sippin’ Santa mugs and glassware will be available for purchase exclusively at each location during the duration of the pop-ups, making it the gift that keeps on giving. For the 2022 holiday season, Miracle and Sippin’ Santa are proud to partner with Seva Foundation, a global nonprofit eye care organization that works with local communities around the world to develop self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight. Since 1978, Seva has empowered underserved communities and provided eye care services to more than 46 million people around the world. The name Seva has the meaning “selfless service to others” which aligns with the spirit of both the holiday season and the hospitality industry. At the end of the 2022 season, Miracle and Sippin’ Santa will donate 10% of all proceeds from the retail sales of Santa Pants, Christmas Carol Barrel and Santa Heads mugs to the Seva Foundation. Miracle and Sippin’ Santa locations will officially open their doors from Nov. 21 to Dec. 31. Each year, Miracle and Sippin’ Santa partners bring their holiday concepts to life in fresh new ways unique to their location and city. To further elevate patrons’ experiences, each partner location will also add its own holly jolly programming, such as ugly Christmas sweater parties and themed events to add to the memorable experience of sharing in person with loved ones.
