Miss River Brings Back King Cake For Carnival

NEW ORLEANS (press release) –  Miss River at Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans heralds Carnival season with the return of its king cake. Miss River’s signature king cake offers a different take on the beloved Mardi Gras staple, featuring buttery brioche and a filling of sweet potato and cinnamon spice. 

“We aim to honor local culinary tradition while infusing it with the elegance and creativity our guests expect,” said Executive Pastry Chef Emily Rosenberg in a release. “Our King Cake embodies this ethos, offering a delightful take on a cherished classic.” 

With shimmering sugar in traditional Mardi Gras colors, the cake features a sparkling crystal in place of the customary plastic baby, a nod to the Chandelier Bar. 

Miss River invites locals and visitors alike to indulge in its interpretation of this New Orleans classic. The Miss River King Cake is available exclusively to guests dining in the restaurant and can be packaged to bring home at the conclusion of their meal. The king cake, priced at $45 and serving 8–10 people, is available now through Mardi Gras Day.
