It may seem as if New Orleans is home only to charming, historical venues, but countless contemporary restaurants and venues can be found all around the city.
In the latest Summer/Autum 2017 issue of New Orleans Bride magazine, Marie Simoneaux gathered a list of nine contemporary spaces around the city that are sure to wow. For our LTEC readers, we are going to individually highlight those spaces to ensure all of our contemporary couples find the perfect location to say “I Do.”
First we visited Il Mercato. This week we are spotlighting Emeril’s Delmonico. Many of us have only ever considered Delmonico a chic place to relax with a refreshing craft cocktail at happy hour (now year round) or for a delectable and romantic dinner (bring on the veal bordelaise, please!), made even more so by the streetcars rambling by on St. Charles Avenue. To our delight, it’s all of that and more with a variety of spaces perfect for cake cutting, toasting and dancing the night away with your newly betrothed.

Emeril’s Delmonico
For couples dreaming of a Big Day with classic New Orleans flavor and a modern twist, Emeril’s Delmonico is a choice option. This historic building is situated in the Lower Garden District on St. Charles Avenue, just off the streetcar line. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is nostalgic and luxurious, but Delmonico wants customers to feel comfortable and to have fun. With huge windows, minimalist chandeliers and sleek furniture, this restaurant is far from stuffy. Delmonico offers both partial and full buyouts, which can include two floors, a courtyard and the secret cornstalk room. Plus, it’s an Emeril Lagasse restaurant, so you know the food is going to be delicious.
