Moms of The Bower, Celebratory Wine Dinner June 15

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Located in New Orleans’ Lower Garden District, The Bower is hosting Moms of the Bower, an unforgettable four-course dining experience inspired by four wonderful mothers related to The Bower.

Executive Chef Marcus Woodham, who has worked at some of NOLA’s most acclaimed restaurants, has curated a specialty menu to pay tribute to the mothers. For $125 per person (including tax and gratuity), each dish is inspired by family-friendly recipes and paired with wine produced by a female winemaker. The menu follows: 

FIRST COURSE

Blue Corn Pupusa

inspired by Maria (Erick’s Mom)

chicharrones, black beans, cabbage, salsa roja, queso fresco

Paired with Antica Chardonnay, Napa Valley, California – 2019

SECOND COURSE

Shaved Wagyu Brisket

inspired by Miriam (Mark’s Mom)

carrot carpaccio, roasted onion, red wine and beef tallow warm vinaigrette, rye crumbs

Paired with Nina Lee Syrah, Walla Walla Valley, WA – 2015

THIRD COURSE

Free Range Yardbird Roulade

inspired by Marion (Nancy’s Mom) and Lisa (Marcus’ Mom)

rabbit and goat cheese tortellini, slow-cooked tomato arrabbiata, barrel-aged balsamic

FOURTH COURSE

Buttered Bayou Goula Bread Pudding

inspired by Lisa (Marcus’ Mom) and Marion (Nancy’s Mom)

cane sugar meringue, Mignardise, and paint cookies
