NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Nell Nolan was the eldest of seven children. Her family home was featured in the movie “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” She has traveled to six continents and over 100 countries. Her pet dove, Coo, is one of her most beloved animals. Nell has written social and society columns for over 33 years, starting at The States-Item, then The Times-Picayune and now at The New Orleans Advocate.
During WYES GRAPE PERFORMANCES WITH NELL NOLAN on Tuesday, May 18, at 6:30 p.m. participants will hear stories about Nell’s impressive life as a newspaper columnist, teacher, actress, volunteer and world traveler, among others, plus Nell will perform three monologues that she has written and never performed before.
Those participating can purchase a ticket that includes three bottles of wine paired with each monologue’s region of interest, Spain, France and Italy, with pick-up and shipping options from $85-$125. There is also a ticket price to ‘watch only’ for $35.
In between each monologue, James Moises, owner of Bizou Wines, will offer insight into each bottle of wine.
WYES producer and longtime friend of Nell’s, Peggy Scott Laborde, will host the event and also interview Nell.
Order deadline for shipping in and out-of-state is Tuesday, May 11th. Order deadline to pick up at Vino Fine Wines and Spirits, 1124 S. Carrollton Ave., New Orleans is Monday, May 17.
