Moving Beyond All Boundaries

The National World War II Museum fêtes its expansion.

Nothing draws a crowd more than a war, especially when the war takes up an entire museum and has plans for future expansion. On Thursday, November 5, The National World War II Museum held its Private Premiere, Thursday night of its “Experience the Victory Weekend” and theatre expansion.

The Private Premiere on Thursday was a thank you to all VIPs and friends of the museum and to celebrate the grand opening of the Solomon Victory Theatre, Stage Door Canteen and American Sector Restaurant.

This expansion is just the beginning of additions The National World War II Museum has in store for the future.

Tom Hanks and Tom Brokaw were special guests in attendance with the other celebrities and voiceovers from the movie Beyond All Boundaries, a 4-D experience about the journey from Pearl Harbor to the final battles of World War II. Former chairman Governor Pete Wilson, chairman Philip Satre, President and CEO Nick Mueller and Drew Brees were special guests in attendance of the opening.

The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra performed throughout the evening. Guests were able to enjoy a sneak-peak of Let Freedom Ring, the new Stage Door Canteen show, as well as a private screening of Beyond all Boundaries.

The American Sector Restaurant by Chef John Besh catered culinary delights to include nostalgic foods of the 1940s. The “Experience the Victory Weekend” was sponsored by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction.
