With proceeds from the annual event benefiting more than 40 area children’s charities, the Fore!Kids 10th Annual Golf Ball was a resounding success when it was held at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Presented by Ochsner Clinic Foundation, more than 400 patrons came out on October 30, clad in their best cocktail attire, to party and bid on famous sports memorabilia. Mike Rodrique was the lucky bidder on an autographed Drew Brees helmet, courtesy of Sean Payton’s Play it Forward Foundation. Also up for the bidding was a table for 10 in the “Elite” section of the 2010 Black and Gold Gala, courtesy of the Play it Forward Foundation, as well as various gold memorabilia in the live and silent auctions. Food stations from the Hilton and open bars from Grey Goose kept the evening lively, as did the musical stylings of Burgundy. Board of Directors members in attendance included President Thomas Fonseca, Chairman Frank “Buddy” Seeling, Mark Heller, Ross Miller and Golf Ball Committee Captains David Gallo and Chav Pierce. In all, the evening netted $90,000 for the organization.
