Music and Mingling

“Operetta on Broadway” raised approximately $76,000 for the Lambeth House Foundation’s Fellowship Fund, which provides a financial assistance plan for residents who outlive their resources. The evening featured exciting musical entertainment from local tenor and opera performer Casey Candebat, accompanied by Kristin Albarado.

Violinist Harry Hardin performed during the cocktail hour, prior to the festive three-course seated dinner prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Ware and team. The menu featured a trio of “acts,” including a “Dueling Duo” of surf or turf entrées: Blackened Teres Major Petit Beef Tenderloin versus Louisiana Gulf Day Boat Fish, completed by a delectable dessert “finale.” Centerpieces consisting of Chinese takeout boxes with an array of colorful flowers contributed to the theme.

Musical performances included local tenor Casey Candebat accompanied by Kristin Albarado.

Auctioneer Jay Batt led a lively auction, which included a dinner party for eight at artist Tim Trapolin’s studio with dinner prepared and served by Tim Trapolin and LH CEO Scott Crabtree; a Tulane football package for four; and a “Wall of Wine,” including 23 bottles of wine donated by the staff and board members of The Wine Seller and Hopper’s Carte de Vins.

Malise and Clay Kearney and Susan and John Lange served as Event Co-Chairs. Approximately 210 attended the event.
