N. Rampart Street: Home to P&J Oyster Company and New Orleans’ most exciting new corridor.

Sal Sunseri is co-owner of P&J Oyster Company located on N. Rampart Street. The oyster company has been providing oysters in New Orleans and beyond for 104 years. In 1921, the company moved to its present location on N. Rampart Street in the French Quarter. The origins of today’s P&J Oyster Company date back to the 1860s when three Sunseri brothers immigrated from Sicily. Today, Louisiana is the largest producer of oysters in the country. In addition to his work with P&J Oyster Company, Sal Sunseri is also a board member of N. Rampart Main Street, Inc. This corporation was founded to promote prosperity and advocate for the development of the N. Rampart Street corridor. In this podcast, Sunseri shares his enthusiasm for the burgeoning N.
