NEW ORLEANS – Chef Meg Bickford and the powers that be at Commander’s Palace have announced a new all-seafood Playground Tasting Menu.
The menu is available for dinner all seven days a week, whether looking for somewhere to dine for Lent or you just need a seafood fix during the week.
In addition to the five-course tasting menu, those looking to take their dinner a step further can add a wine pairing to their menu, curated by Commander’s Palace “Wine Guy” Dan Davis.
Highlights of the tasting menu include:
- Dirty Martini on the Half Shell: Local oysters on the half shell with olive brine pearls, dirty martini granita and Cajun caviar
- Kumquat Kosho Gulf Shrimp: Grilled head on Gulf shrimp pinchos with pickled shimeji mushrooms, kohlrabi and charred baby bok choy over miso pea purée
- Crawfish & Hokkaido Scallop: Satsuma & Criolla Sella seared scallops with Cognac flambéed Louisiana crawfish tails over braised collard greens, Creole cream cheese stone ground grits, mirliton kimchi and crawfish boil hollandaise
