New Mardi Gras Krewe Supporting Bra Recycling

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Krewe of Nyades is partnering with I Support The Girls as a NEW marching group supporting bra recycling and donations to help homeless women. Paraders can participate by throwing bras into the following cart.

This year’s signature throws are beaded dragonflies and lilypad pasties!

In Greek mythology, Nyades were water nymphs, charged with protecting their coasts and also with protecting young women. The original name for St. Charles Avenue, the stomping grounds for the majority of Mardi Gras parades was… Nyades Street.

They have been accepted in the BRAND NEW Krewe of Mosaïque and Saint Ann’s on Mardi Gras day!
