NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans Magazine once again takes home gold during the annual Press Club of New Orleans awards ceremony.
Held July 19 at The Cannery in Mid-City, the Press Club of New Orleans awarded many local journalists in categories across writing, design, television and more.
New Orleans Magazine was awarded 1st place for “Best Design” for our 2024 BBQ cover feature. Our art director Tiffani Redding Amedeo’s “BBQ” layout earned top honors for its creative structure and readability, while her “Pots of Gold” crawfish cover design also placed.
“We are honored to be recognized by our peers and by The Press Club of New Orleans,” said New Orleans Magazine Editor Ashley McLellan. “We strive to continue to provide excellence in our feature writing, design, photography and online content with every issue. Congratulations to all who were nominated and to our contributors and staff for their dedication and hard work.”
In addition to the design recognition, Jess Kearney’s essay “The Lost Art of the Dinner Party” took second place in the Best Feature category, further highlighting the magazine’s editorial range, and also earned recognition for digital content, including a 2nd-place podcast award for “Beyond the Grave” and a 3rd-place Instagram mention for “NOSH.”
Renaissance Publishing Awards
The New Orleans Magazine win was part of a broader night of recognition for Renaissance Publishing. The parent company of New Orleans Magazine, Biz New Orleans, Louisiana Life, and St. Charles Avenue earned accolades across print, broadcast, digital and design categories.
