Making a positive impact for a community is easier said than done: the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute works towards making the “done” happen. The institute does it by identifying leaders, who then collaborate to address key issues involving policy, health care, education, diversity and equity, environment, sustainability, economic development and criminal justice.
On Jan. 16, the organization hosted The Power of NORLI 25th Anniversary Gala to commemorate its leadership, connection and impact across the Greater New Orelans region.
Held at the MISI, remarks were made by NORLI Chairman Barrett Conrad and NORLI Executive Director Stephen Reuther, as well as past NORLI Chair Patty Riddlebarger (Entergy), founding NORLI Chair Lonnie Stockwell, Sandra Lindquist (New Orleans Chamber of Commerce), Bill Hines (Jones Walker), Kia Robinson (New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation) and Tifferney White (Louisiana Children’s Museum.)
“This milestone gala honored the extraordinary legacy of NORLI and the countless alumni whose influence continues to shape the future of our communities,” said Reuther. “As we reflect on a quarter century of cultivating leaders who drive progress through collaboration and innovation, we also look ahead to what’s next for NORLI — new opportunities, new partnerships and a continued commitment to building a stronger, more unified region.”
Fun Fact: Since 2000, NORLI has competitively selected over 1,000 diverse individuals from the Greater New Orleans area to participate in its Regional Leadership Program.
