King Brasserie
Join King Brasserie & Bar at Kimpton Hotel Fontenot for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. The four-course tasting menu created by Executive Chef Samuel Peery will be available from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, for $95 a person. A la carte menu items will also be available.
Additionally, right next door to King, Peacock Room will be open on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, from 9 to 11 p.m. for their regular food menu, with the bar remaining open until midnight. Among the menu items they’ll serve are shares like White Sturgeon Caviar, Goat Cheese Fondue and mains like Braised Short Ribs & Burgundy Truffles. Regarding cocktails, Peacock Room has a vast array of creative concoctions, including the Cara Mia. This nod to a carajillo inspired by the love between Gomez and Morticia Adams includes El Salvadorian rum, cold brew, and Licor Horchata. It offers playful hints of cinnamon and vanilla with a soft floral finish.

Ayu Bakehouse is offering the Queen Bee, a limited-time citrus-forward king cake with burnt honey, cream and candied citrus, to celebrate Valentine’s Day. If chocolate is more your style, the Ayu team will be serving the Brownie Husband based on the 2013 SNL skit, Spanning 12 x 8in, each Brownie Husband is served with chunks of cherry caramel throughout a dense, fudgey base.
