NEW ORLEANS (press release) – On Thursday, Jan. 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., The Home Depot Foundation will team up with local students and nonprofit partner New Orleans ToolBank, a Toolbank USA affiliate, to build furniture for community spaces in New Orleans.

This project is part of a nationwide week of service from Jan. 13-17 to honor and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. Participating students will have a chance to see firsthand how applying their skills can make a positive and lasting impact in their local community. Once complete, the new outdoor furniture will be donated to public parks throughout the greater New Orleans area.

Volunteer project will include:

  • Building 10-15 tables and benches that will be donated to public parks in the greater New Orleans area

WHEN: Thursday, January 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
