Brenda Walkenhorst is Director of Education and Volunteers at the Audubon Zoo. Among her other responsibilities, Brenda is in charge of the summer camps at the zoo. She describes each of the camps and explains how these summer camps are unique. Each zoo camp focuses on a different aspect of nature. Whether they are learning about  conservation or exploring the world of dinosaurs, the kids come away with a better understanding of our natural world and our place in it. Brenda also shares a story about how one of her ideas helped to engage the young campers. The Zoo Summer Camp began on June 6 and runs through August 5, with no camps the week of July 4.
