Jean Fahr is Executive Director of Parkway Partners. Jean explains that Parkway Partners is an organization that connects New Orleans volunteers to the city’s green spaces. Created in 1982, the organization began by organizing volunteers to maintain the city’s neutral grounds. Now, with the help of many dedicated volunteers, Parkway Partners  beautifies green spaces, playgrounds and parks throughout New Orleans. In addition, Parkway Partners organizes volunteers to create community gardens, thus strengthening community bonds and beautifying and improving neighborhoods.
