Pamela Buckman is the Sculpture Garden manager for The New Orleans Museum of Art in City Park. Buckman discusses the upcoming Iris Festival on Saturday, April 2. In addition to having horticulture experts talk about irises and answer questions, the festival will include live music, offer family art making activities and feature food from Ralph Brennan. While the iris is not the official flower of New Orleans, many believe it should be, because according to numerous experts, the fleur-de-lis is a stylized iris. Listen to the interview here.
