Tommy Delaune and his wife, Maria, are co-owners of Redemption Restaurant in Mid-City. Redemption is located in the old church that formally housed Christian’s Restaurant. Delaune is a true New Orleanian and his restaurant and food reflect his passion for the city. He calls his unique style of food "revival cuisine." You have to listen to Delaune’s explanation of his cuisine and hear his enthusiasm to understand why he chose that name. He says the restaurant’s chef, Robert Larson, "is a great young man with a lot of great ideas." After years of hoping a restaurant would return to Christian’s beautiful church building in Mid-City, locals can rejoice: Redemption Restaurant has arrived. Listen to the interview here.
