New Orleans Voices Podcast: Jewish Community Center Executive Director Arlene Barron

Arlene Barron is executive director of the Jewish Community Center, located on the corner of St. Charles and Jefferson avenues in Uptown New Orleans.The center has  had an important role in the city for many years. Following Hurricane Katrina, the center played an integral part in the city’s recovery when FEMA used it as the base of critical post-Katrina operations. Today, Arlene brings us up to date on the center’s recent programs and tells us about the services  it currently offers, including the newest program that addresses the child obesity problem.
