The Independent Caveau NOLA
The Independent Caveau NOLA is a fairly new wine bar and retail operation that also serves cheese and charcuterie plates, as well as high-end tinned seafood. Operated by Joanne Close and husband Jim Yonkus, it’s a great place to browse for interesting wines and grab a bite to eat in the bar or on the patio. The Independent Caveau NOLA, 1226 S. White St., 702-8033, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Theindependentnola.com.
