Uncle Sam Jam

Celebrate Independence Day on the evening of July 3 at Lafreniere Park in Metairie with “Uncle Sam Jam, “a free festival at the Al Copeland Concert Meadow Stage. New Orleans City Park celebrates Independence Day a day early with a red, white and blue celebration on July 3. The free event, held on the Great Lawn, features live music, food and refreshments available for purchase, plus a fireworks display. 4th Fest in Crescent Park

Spillway Classic Trail Run

Runners looking for a little extra challenge should try the Spillway Classic Trail Run in Norco. It’s open to runners and walkers of all speeds, but the course is off-road and can be very muddy and/or wet depending on conditions. RunNOTC.org
