A growing trend in the world of weddings is perfectly styled “pop up” weddings. These intimate affairs take all the stress of planning off of a couple, allowing them to enjoy their wedding day worry free. From New York to LA, these small weddings and companies to provide the services have quite literally been “popping” up on the wedding scene.
New Orleans, being a top wedding destination for couples near and far, has grabbed a hold of this new phenomenon in the form of Pop of Love Nola.
Pop of Love is the brainchild of wedding professionals Logan Doerries, creator, designer and planner for Logan Doerries Design; Lauren Soley, creator and designer for Lovegood Wedding and Event Rentals; and Sarah Becker Lillard, creator and photographer for Sarah Becker Photography. The three joined forces when they all noticed a piece of the wedding market that New Orleans was missing. Their mission is to bring an affordable option to brides and grooms looking to have a small, intimate wedding or elopement in the Big Easy.
The three take their expertise in their respected areas and combine them to create gorgeous ceremonies.
“We created Pop of Love to make beautiful elopements as easy as they should be,” says Becker. “With one price, couples are provided with a fully styled event.”
The group’s network of vendors gives couples the option different themes, with packages based on the style or design and the location.
Packages for Pop of Love start at $2,950 and vary depending on the venue space. The package includes a chic ceremony location, photography, planning services, rentals and decor, florals, ceremony officiant and a marriage license.
“We hope to make the day as easy as possible for our couples, while also showcasing the most unique and eclectic parts of New Orleans, to visitors and locals alike,” said Doerries.
These pop up weddings are a no brainer for couples traveling to the city, soaking up the culture and vibe and looking to New Orleans to create a perfect wedding backdrop. While talking with Doerries, she mentioned it being the best option for couples traveling to the city, who want to experience a ceremony, but are too far away to plan it themselves or don’t have the time. Once the wedding is complete, couple’s can spend their mini honeymoon experiencing New Orleans. We suggest a Wednesday ceremony and a weekend celebrating in the city.
Each Pop of Love ceremony allows for up to 20 guests and the couple can work with the team and the ceremony location to add on dinner or other celebratory options after the ceremony.
