Last night, the Hyatt Regency New Orleans was brimming with doting couple’s and their enthusiastic entourages, attending the New Orleans Bride Magazine June bridal show. Each bridal show is meant to bring New Orleans area couples face-to-face with the professionals who will help make their wedding dreams a reality.
Well before the show doors opened at 6 p.m., there was a line of brides, gift bags in hand, eager to make their way into the enormous conference hall. They were greeted with a grand entrance, complete with white chairs, floral arrangements in shades of white and flickering white and silver candelabras and candles, designed by Mardi Gras Productions. Once inside, there were rows and rows of booths decked out by the top wedding vendors from the greater New Orleans area. Bridal boutiques had models donning the latest gown trends, event planners decorated tablescapes and bakeries and caterers brought samples for couples to taste. From jewelry and food to décor and dresses, couples could plan their entire wedding – including the honeymoon – in one evening.
Both the couples and the professionals brought their A-game. Deals were made and contracts were signed all in the span of the three hour event.
All in all, the night was an amazing success. Couples walked away with ideas, business cards, contracts and loads of door prizes, such as a honeymoon in Mexico, cake stands, spa treatments and hotel stays. Whether you are just recently engaged, starting from the beginning, or have just one more item to check off of your list, the New Orleans Magazine Bridal Show is an efficient and fun way to streamline the planning process.
