NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This fall Studio KIDS! presents eight workshops for children ages 5 to 10 who want to get creative and learn art-making techniques inspired by works at NOMA and the Besthoff Sculpture Garden. The classes are held Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm; cost per class: $25 members | $30 nonmembers. For the first class, scheduled for Saturday, September 7, participants will create a “quilted” square in mixed media, in conjunction with the exhibition The Quilts of Gee’s Bend.
