On Oct. 9, Christ Episcopal School celebrated its 20th anniversary. More than 350 people attended the event held in the campus’ gym, including current parents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty and staff. Special door prizes were given to attendees who had traveled the farthest, couples who had the most children attending the school and teachers who had taught the longest.
Chad Landry catered the party with shrimp and tasso pasta, shrimp and crab étouffée, teriyaki chicken skewers, crawfish and gouda dip, and pork loin. Desserts were generously donated by Zoe’s Bakery. As guests enjoyed the company of old friends, a special anniversary DVD played, capturing the school in the last 20 years. Guests also browsed the silent auction tables and live auction tables, which had more than 30 gift baskets. Other auction items included a Mississippi River cruise, a yacht cruise, and weekends in New Orleans and on the Northshore.
Proceeds from the 20th anniversary celebration went to the CES “Securing Our Future” Endowment Fund.
