We always look forward to the time of day when the sky dims and we think to ourselves, ‘hmmm, I could use a cocktail.’ A place where wine and beer flow and cocktails are made with magic. We are, of course, talking about happy hour. We have been finding several places coming back to life after COVID-19 and we would like to share a few with you.
Nola Art Bar (2128 St. Claude Ave.) happy hour runs daily from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. This fun new-ish place is so funky and eclectic. The seating is comfortable with amazing art lining the walls. It is located in the heart of the Marigny neighborhood and has great craft cocktails and a smooth social setting. It looks like a gallery where the art is also the drinks.
The Vintage (3121 Magazine St. ) hosts happy hour every day from 8 a.m. to noon and again at 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. For $6 you can get select cocktails, house bubbles or red and white wine. And they have $6 small bites, too. The team here loves to see you ride your bike over and enjoy outdoor seating.
Vyoone’s (412 Girod St.) is a fancy little place snuggled in the Warehouse District with happy hour from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday. They call it, L’Apertif – The French Happy Hour. You can get special house cocktail for $7, white or red wine for $5, local beers for $4 and house champagnes for $12. You and your friends can also enjoy the outdoor patio with festive lighting that is a perfect backdrop for taking selfies.
These are of course just a few happy hour options. If you have a favorite place that is open and ready for our amazing followers, let us know so we can share the news.
