COVINGTON, La (press release) – New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE) will return for its second year with Bourbon & Bubbles on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 3:30 – 6 p.m. The Greenwood, a Southern Hotel Property, provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable afternoon of sips and bites, says organizers. Tickets are $100 each and are available at NOWFE.com The Greenwood is located at 75082 LA-25.
“Bourbon & Bubbles isn’t just a tasting—it’s our way of bringing the heart of New Orleans to the Northshore,” said Aimee Brown, NOWFE executive director. “We felt so welcomed last year, and we’re genuinely excited to be back. The Northshore community has an incredible love for food, drink, and camaraderie, and this event gives us the chance to celebrate that spirit under the oaks with friends new and old.”
Over 25 hand-crafted bourbons will be served, many of which are listed as top 100. There will also be more than two dozen bruts and sparkling rosés to taste, from Domaine Ste. Michelle to La Mundial. Attendees can expect to explore different vintages of bubbles while tasting bites from several Northshore dining establishments. Participating restaurants include The Anchor, Pardos, Tchefuncte’s, and more.
Since its inception, NOWFE has been committed to helping local non-profit organizations, from food banks to culinary schools, with donations totaling over $1.5 million. This year, NOWFE’s Board of Directors selected Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation (LRAEF), Delgado Community College Culinary Arts Program, and Edible Schoolyard New Orleans as its beneficiaries. One hundred percent of NOWFE’s proceeds support these local entities.
