O What A Night: Celebrating Southern Art + Culture

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Ogden Museum of Southern Art, dedicated to broadening the knowledge, understanding, interpretation and appreciation of the visual arts and culture of the American South, will hold its annual O What a Night! Gala honoring the founder of the Souls Grown Deep Foundation, William S. Arnett, and American artist Lonnie Holley, with Opus Awards on October 19, 2019. Patrons will have the chance to preview the auction at the Patron Party on October 17 at the home of Roger H. Ogden and Ken Barnes. Chairmen Mathilde & Richard Currence and Michelle & Lamar Villere invite you to join them at the O What a Night! Gala, which sells out every year and plays host to affluent and influential patrons from New Orleans and across the country. This evening is not only an experiential celebration of the very best in Southern art, music and food, but is also the Museum’s top fundraising event, featuring a live auction led by Sotheby’s auctioneer Christy Williams Coombs, along with a silent auction. Your contribution to the O What a Night! Gala 2019 will provide critical funds for our award-winning educational programs, our Ogden After Hours music series and our dynamic exhibitions of Southern painting, photography, sculpture and much more.
