Pharmacy Update From Ochsner:

We know many of our community members are displaced and need refills on their prescription medications. Patients can go to or call a pharmacy near them with their prescription information, name, date of birth and the original pharmacy’s phone number. Ochsner patients’ prescription information is also available through their MyOchsner account. The local pharmacist will call and complete the prescription transfer.

Patients taking a specialty medication should contact their specialty pharmacy who will help coordinate a new location to fill the medication to ensure they carry it.

If patients are out of refills, the pharmacy can message their provider for authorization to process the refill or if regulations allow, the pharmacy could fill it under the “State of Emergency”.
