A party on the football field of the Caesars Superdome meant keeping high heels at home, but guests still dressed to impress at the 13th annual Moonlight & Miracles Gala, presented by the Gayle and Tom Benson Foundation, on Nov. 14.
The party location — more used to New Orleans Saints football games, Essence Festival, concerts and other large-scale events — proved to be awe-inspiring yet made comfortable with the decor and related accoutrements courtesy of Mardi Gras Productions, K.P. McNulty, Perfect Presentations, See Hear Productions and Fancy Faces contributing.
Among the night’s activities was live music from Blue Rhythm Entertainment, cuisine from Legends Catering and a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 SUV raffle.
Emceed by Mark Romig, Lori Ochsner and Trishelle Cannatella, the party also offered viewers an inside look at the life-changing work happening every day at Ochsner Health, including a presentation led by Ochsner leadership, including CEO Pete November and Chief Physician Executive Dr. Robert Hart, alongside New Orleans Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson, highlighting patient stories, medical breakthroughs and the organization’s impact on the region.
The event’s reach extended beyond the ballroom through a televised broadcast on WVUE Fox 8 on Nov. 23, sharing these powerful stories of healing and hope with a wider audience.
This year’s proceeds — more than $1.8 million — supported a broader range of programs, including the Ochsner Cancer Institute, Ochsner Neuroscience Institute, John Ochsner Heart & Vascular Institute and Ochsner Children’s.
Fun Fact: The event was chaired by Gayle Benson for the 12th consecutive year.
