NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Event officials announced the return of the popular Algiers Mardi Gras Festival for its fourth-annual Mardi Gras soiree. The 2024 family fun festival will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Federal City. Officials plan to hold a special press conference on Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m. in Federal City to unveil the 2024 poster and announce this year’s Grand Marshal along with additional details of the event such as entertainment, food and more.
The free and family-friendly festival aims to bring Mardi Gras to the historic Algiers neighborhood just across the mighty Mississippi River from downtown New Orleans.
