OLLI at LSU

Age is more than a number; it can bring new perspectives, stronger connections, and more opportunities to explore what interests you and the things that make life more enriching. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at LSU (OLLI at LSU) provides adults 50 and older with opportunities to enrich their lives through learning and community experiences that encourage curiosity, expand horizons, and create new ways to explore all the world has to offer.

Through a selection of unique classes, events, and trips, members can explore their interests, discover new ones, and connect with others who share their curiosity and love of learning.

For Fall 2026, OLLI at LSU offers both remote and in-person courses meant to scratch that itch for knowledge. For in-person courses, there are four chapters in the Southern Louisiana region to choose from: Lagniappe (Baton Rouge), Crescent City (New Orleans & Metairie), Camellia City (Slidell & Covington), Felicianas (St. Francisville & New Roads). These chapters offer their own unique course options with subjects ranging from history, cooking, philosophy, art, sports, and more.

Ever wanted to learn more about birdwatching? There’s a course for you. Curious about the history and traditions behind New Orleans? Maybe you’ve always wanted to try line dancing or learn how to take better photos with your smartphone. Whatever sparks your interest, OLLI at LSU offers opportunities to explore it alongside a community of fellow learners who are just as curious as you are.
