Hats off to William Goldring, United Way’s 2010 Alexis de Tocqueville Society Award honoree! Each year, the Tocqueville Society “confers a single award upon a recipient who exemplifies the ideals of generosity and service to the Greater New Orleans community.” This year’s gala will take place Saturday, November 20, at the Roosevelt New Orleans Hotel and will feature Clancy DuBos as Master of Ceremonies.

Co-chair and Tocqueville Society Chairman Kim Sport, co-chair Barbara Turner Windhorst and board chairman Jose Suquet will make sure you have a fabulous time while honoring a man who has been a role model for other philanthropists as a partner with United Way, personally and through the Goldring Family and Woldenberg foundations.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.unitedwaynola.org/tocqueville or call 827-6846. F

Special thanks to Fred Holley and the staff of Republic Beverage, and to Liz Goliwas Bodet.
