Daniel Price’s two major passions in his life were art and music. It is fitting that “Home for the Holidays,” a night of spectacular music and art, benefits the Daniel Price Memorial Fund for Aspiring Artists. The fund provides scholarships to “outstanding visual arts and music students” at New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (of which Daniel was an alumnus).
Presented by the NOCCA Institute (including its Executive Director Sally Perry), House of Blues and Daniel’s family (including Steve and Christopher Price), the evening begins at the patron party with a buffet dinner, open bar and silent auction at 6 p.m., featuring the NOCCA Jazz Band and John Boutte.
At 7:30 p.m. the evening hits full-swing, including the music of Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue and the Jonathan Batiste Band – plus many more special guests.
Be sure to get to the House of Blues on Thursday, December 23. To purchase tickets or for more information call 310-4999, or visit danielpricememorial.org or houseofblues.com/venues/clubvenues/neworleans.
Special thanks to Steve Price, Gail Varuso and Mark Roberts.
